I heard about this from a person that tanged as a kid in Mexico. He told me it worked 90% of the time to keep the bees from going too far from the original hive. I've tried it out a number of times now, each time they head back into the hive after 10 -12 minutes of tanging. The question in my mind is...were they really going to swarm? They looked like it, they were in a frenzy at the hive and above the hive flying excitedly, then they calmed down. Three times last week I tanged them back in, but the 4th time I was busy. I'm thinking, "Let them swarm, I can't chase them now." After about 15 minutes they calmed down and went back in...the jury is still out.

What sweet words and prayers and discoveries I have read on this page. Blessings, bright blessings to all of those who serve the honeybee and the rest of our earth's most generous beings; the pollinators!
The true mystic path comes from our simple relationships with these divinely inspired creatures. What a lovely inspiration to know that history's greatest religious systems venerated the honeybee!
But That which is spoken of the past is made real today in the prayers you can do today that mirror those ancient rites. In your body, even if you know nothing! All you need to do is plant beautiful bountiful weeds everywhere to bring back Eden. And what better serves the ancient, the ancestors, the earth, the bees and ourselves? It is simple action steps like these that makes prayer manifest.
Or shall we serve the bees themselves? Learn their scent? Listen to their singing? The song of creation that has gone unbroken for 120 million years. The song that sung Eden into being as they created it for us. The song that sung of our coming to the planet. The song of our learning of the bees. And yes, our bees sang with those that sang for Aphrodite. Our bees today, with unbroken Brahmari danced around the heads of the ancient Melissae. They are the same! And today they sing of us.
Yes, keep bees and care for them. The world is not the same as it was when bees were free and could live safely on the planet. Look around and see what we have given them. When we work with them and begin to look at the world through their millions of beautiful eyes, we will see the landscape we have given them. The tribute we have delivered them. Once we see this, we will begin to chant the most fervant prayer of restoration. We will learn to work like the honeybee to heal the world. We become advocates of gardens and wild-lands, Shamanic mystery and clean water. We will be tireless as they and do our part to green the earth. This is the truest of love songs. And we can learn to sing with them.
Brightest of Blessings to you that serve the pollinators, for behind you flowers bloom as you (re)create the Beauty Path in your wake.
